Who is providing this notice? This notice applies to ARS Investment Partners, LLC (“ARS”). ARS is committed to protecting your privacy and maintaining the confidentiality and security of your personal information. We do not disclose nonpublic personal information about our clients or former clients to third parties other than as described herein. In addition, our affiliates who share our office may have access to your personal information.

What we do

How does ARS protect my personal information?

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.
How does ARS collect my personal information? ARS collects information about you (such as your name, address, social security number, assets and income) from our discussions with you, from documents that you may deliver to us and in the course of providing services for you. We collect your personal information, for example, when you:

  • Open an account;
  • Seek advice about your investments; or
  • Enter into an investment advisory contract.

We may also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, affiliates, or other companies.We may use this information to provide services to you, to open an account for you, to process a transaction for your account or otherwise in furtherance of our business.

Why can’t I limit all sharing? Federal law gives you the right to limit only:

  • Sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes—information about your creditworthiness;
  • Affiliates from using your information to market to you; and
  • Sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you.

State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing.

Nonaffiliates Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.ARS does not share with nonaffiliates so that they can market to you.
